Romsey Mutual Aid – How Can I Help

Romsey Mutual Aid is part of a larger effort across Cambridge to provide support for vulnerable residents who need help during the coronavirus outbreak.

The kind of support we’re aiming to provide includes

  • Shopping deliveries / prescription pickup
  • Moral support – check-ins, phone calls, reminders
  • Signposting to advice

Could you help? The actual work of supporting residents may be slow starting at first, but likely to build over the next days and weeks.

But we need leaflet deliverers immediately, and also want to get coordinators in place for each street in Romsey asap. The coordinator for a street should be someone who lives there, and ideally already knows some of the residents.

We also need people who would be happy to add their name to a rota to monitor our email inbox and take phone calls from residents needing help – you just need a computer / laptop and a phone.

We have guidance in place which minimises the chance of the infection being spread through our activities, and you will be given training about how to go about your work.

Please fill in the form below if you’re happy to get involved in supporting your local community through this difficult time.
