Over Mill Road Bridge is a campaigning organisation set up in 2018 by Romsey Labour Party. Its original purpose was to campaign to mitigate the impact to both residents and traders of the closure of Mill Road Bridge in 2019 by Network Rail and Govia Thameslink. This campaign was successful, with Govia Thameslink agreeing that they would provide pedestrian access across the Bridge for the most of the two month period of the works.
Following on from this success, we are using the Over Mill Road Bridge website and campaigning tools to publicise and fight for other causes both in Romsey and Cambridge more widely.
